Project Updates:

Things to do (in the near future):

• I need to get my bike ready for SXSW. I need to fix the back tire. The alignment is off.
  
• I really need to get the light fixture installed in my kitchen. I need light in there.
• Cut down the time it takes to bike to Megan's house and back.
• Reorganize the music on my external hard drive.
  
• Finish Freakonomics.
  

Items of note from the last 2 weeks (I think I filed a disclaimer saying not to expect weekly updates):

• I found a new saddle on CL for $40 (1/2 MSRP). I also found pedals and a light for super cheap.
  
• I switched cell phone carriers. I left ATT and went to TMobile. Thanks to the cell phone kiosk in Costco, I managed to snag a Blackberry Pearl for -$35 (yes, that is a negative)
  
• I finished the 2 pairs of jeans. I remembered to pre-wash them before hemming them this time to allow for shrinkage.
• SXSW changed their wristband policy. Read it and weep.
  
• There are 8 coats of paint on the bike now. I need more clear coat.
  
• I discovered you can rent DVDs from the library.
  
• It was my turn for the "class pet" (external hardrive) this weekend. Even by adding a billion files I haven't made a dent in the amount of space available.
  

Things to do (in the near future):

• Get a new seat for my bike. You would think that a big seat would be nice and comfy, but my 10 mile ride proved otherwise.
  
• I really need to get the light fixture installed in my kitchen. I need light in there.
• Work on Keely's pirate costume.
• Finish the 2 pairs of jeans that I started.
• Watch for SXSW Wristbands.
• Cut down the time it takes to bike to Megan's house and back.
  

Items of note from the last 2 weeks (I think I filed a disclaimer saying not to expect weekly updates):

• My birthday was last weekend. 30 is officially over. Now I am in my 30s. Em and I went to Frankenbike and left empty handed. We finally got around to adding more chain to my bike to take it out of Granny gear. Then it was off to Trudy's for that Mexmart. I closed out my evening at a party that was 2 blocks from my house.
  
• There are 4 coats of paint on the bike now. I decided not to go with Mango. I returned it for lilac. 2 more coats of color to go. Then it is on to the clear coat.
• Freaks and Geeks is done. I need another series to entertain me while the writers strike continues.
• I biked 10 miles yesterday. Megan's house and back. It took almost 2 hours. The chain on my bike derailed atleast 8 times. Then I ended up walking my bike through the major intersections (boy those lights are slow).
