Travelers with Disabilities Week

What did I learn this past week?

  • I need to get out more often. I went to see Babel last Sunday and realized that it had been a month since I had been out to see a movie.
  • My friend Jordan was granted Thanksgiving amnesty as well. We bonded over not having to hang out with family over pizza.
  • I saw the illest midget in the game, Lady Sovereign on Thursday evening. I think most of the crowd was shocked at the the fact that a 19 year old from England was a foul-mouthed brat. I describe her as Punky Brewster crossed with the Artful Dodger and Old Dirty Bastard.
Projects!
  • Baking: I made 2 batches of cookies and homemade pizza
  • Sewing: 4 pairs of pants in 3 days.

National Game and Puzzle week

Enjoy :)

Speaking of games and puzzles. I miss playing BOGGLE.

What did I learn this past week?

  • I spent a few days in Houston for a lab accreditation course. It was a little dull at times but what can you expect. I was a course on lab accreditation.
  • I am always sick when I have to travel to Houston for work.
  • I got to drive to Houston in the new Ford Fusion. Not a big Ford fan but it drove well, got pretty good gas mileage and the cd player played mp3 cds so I can't complain.
  • The Amy's organic veggie pot pies are damn tasty. I don't usually buy frozen dinners but since I was trapped in Houston, I figured that frozen dinners were the way to go.
  • I saw 2 really great bands at Emo's on Thursday. Margot and the Nuclear So & So's and The Elected. I went to the show by myself (I was too lazy to call around to see if others were interested in going).
  • Guitar Lesson #9: More bar chords. Still trying to make my fingers stronger.
Projects!
  • Sewing: It has been a crazy sewing week. I made 2 pairs of jeans this weekend.
  • Spinsta: More craziness. You will just have to stay tuned at Spinsta.net
  • Websites: I thought it was wordpress but it was actually internet explorer.

Green Ribbon Awareness week

Apparently the green ribbon is for organ donors. I checked the box on my driver's license to be a donor. I figure that if there is anything left in working order that someone else needs why not give it away.

I also found this handy ribbon decoder key...

What did I learn this past week?

  • Yet another retreat for work. It was rather unproductive. I think that we need to have an advance. We need to be more proactive and productive.
  • It can take half and hour to remove a zipper from a pair of Levi's. This was the hardest part in the zipper replacement process.
  • My cat was reunited with his collar. I have no how that happened.
  • Guitar Lesson #8: Bar Chords and 12 bar blues revisited
  • I finally saw Quien es BOOM! Definitely worth seeing again. Especially if they are at a venue with a sound guy.
  • I went to Stitch on Saturday. This was the 4th year of the Renegade Craft Fair/Fashion Show
Projects!
  • Sewing: I started working with knits this week.
  • Websites: I am fighting with the wordpress plugin that lets people subscribe to a mailing list. I keep getting an error message and have yet to find a solution on the internet that works.

Dear Santa Letter Week

I stopped believing in Santa long ago but I do believe that there is no harm in asking for stuff. So here it is boys and girls. My Amazon Wishlist...

What did I learn this past week?

  • I haven't done much of anything in the past week that wasn't related to Spinsta stuff...
  • I learned that a heart attack can be triggered by low blood oxygen.
  • There is a chance that my cat may have been reunited with his collar.
Projects!
  • Sewing: I made some awesome black pants.
  • Websites: Blogging away
  • Soul Cleansing: I spent some quality time on my couch with my remote.
