It's about time week

Time for what?
That is a good question. There is a time debate going on right now click here for more details.

What did I learn this past week?

  • The reason for my coughing and general ickiness was due to a sinus infection. I went to the doctor on Monday.
  • My cat's foot cost me $125. The vet gave him 2 shots of antibiotics and some pills to take. The alternative would have been the $285 surgery.
  • My cat is small and annoying. I had to keep the cat in the house (the bathroom) all week so his foot would heal and he would inflict minimal damage on his surrounds. To make me feel bad he howls through the night.
  • I had my kitchen leak fixed last Tuesday. The destroyed cabinets were also restored. I am in the process of painting them now.
Projects!
  • Sewing: I am currently working on some things for my sewing room. Stay tuned for xmas present pics.
  • Cooking: 4 different kinds of cookies were made in the last week.
  • Website: I made a few more changes to Steph's website. You can check out her page on MySpace for now.

The week before Xmas

I have decided that the majority of the Xmas presents I will be giving out will be late. I have way too much sewing to do and not enough time to do it all. If I had a factory full of little elves, sure I could get it all done in no time.

If people are still out there looking for presents for me, I have a wishlist on Amazon.

What did I learn this past week?

  • I learned that my cat was hopping around because his foot was infected. Not good at all. I took him to the vet yesterday for antibiotics and he is currently confined to the bathroom until his foot stops draining.
  • I learned that I absorbed a lot more than I thought during the time that I worked for the uber anal editors.
Projects!
  • This weekend marked the start of the Holiday Project-a-thon. I cut out many items (which will be disclosed after gift distribution). Stay tuned for pictures.
  • Website: I had a planning meeting to discuss what needs to be done to finish my sister's website (another xmas present to be finished after xmas).

National Human Rights Week

What did I learn this past week?

  • I learned a lot more about my co-workers. We were forced to attend a section retreat last week. It wasn't as painful as we thought it would be.
  • My employer was one of the few state agencies that was open on Thursday. Most were closed all day because of the ice on the road.
  • The Dr. Martin shoes I bought on Saturday at Ross for $29.99 would have cost me atleast $70 elsewhere.
Projects!
  • Sewing: 2 pairs of flannel pajama bottoms were added into the mix last week. I cut out 2 pairs and have them mostly finished. The goal is to get all of the pants done and out of my office this week.
  • Website: I am still working on stephaniedelk.com. I had another meeting with my sister this weekend.

Bathtub Party Day

So Brownielocks.com didn't have anything good going on this week so I decided to remind everyone that today is Bathtub Party Day. There aren't any parties going on in my bathtub (that I am aware of) at this time.

What did I learn this past week?

  • The joy of the new invoice processing SOP. Woo hoo. Thank goodness for my Robitussin haze during that one.
  • I was subjected to safety training twice last week. I learned about fire safety from the Austin Fire Department (unfortunately they didn't send the hot firemen to my office) on Tuesday. On Thursday I found out more information on the renovations to the Yager Ln overpass at I35.
  • My cough was not related to strep throat. It is an allergy thing.
Projects!
  • Sewing: still trying to finish up pants.
  • Website: I had a meeting with my sister about her website. I hope to launch it one of these days. Atleast she has a plan as to what she wants.
  • Home Repair: I haven't made it to Home Depot. The duct tape is still holding.
