National Theraputic Recreation Week

This last weekend I took time out to do something I hadn't done in a very long time. I went out dancing. Not just dancing but I attended the Austin Blues Party. 3 nights of dancing. I had friends in town so I was motivated to leave my house.

What did I learn this past week?

  • It is still virtually impossible to buy shoes in my size. With kids being so much larger these days, you would think that I could easily go out and find a shoe in size 11.
  • Another item on the endangered species list is Laundered cotton sheeting. The custom job I am working on requires it and I can't find it anywhere.
  • I found Neem Oil at Whole Foods. Boy does it smell bad. I looked up it's properties and it can be used as an herbicide.
  • I spent quality time with Megan at Costco on Saturday.
Projects!
  • Sewing: more silkscreening. The little black dress is done. I made a pattern for the custom pants.
  • Yard: I mowed on Sunday and I edged. Not too bad for someone who was out until the wee hours of morning.
