Appreciate Your Plumbing, Heating & Cooling Professionals Week

It has been really hot outside. Hot enough that I now run the A/C in my car and in my house. The house A/C is on a timer to keep my electric bills in check.

So what did I learn this past week?

  • Em got me out of the house not once, but twice. I've been trading clothing for concert tix. We saw 3 great bands at Stubb's on Tuesday. I highly recommend Tapes n' Tapes. We were back at Stubb's on Sunday for OK Go. The show was good but, it would have been much better minus a few hundred teenage girls. They get bonus points for the Pixies cover and the lesson on what MTV used to be like. Panic! at the Disco was a big let down. Their live show was like something out of Moulin Rouge (we were looking for Baz Luhrmann). The Smashing Pumpkins and Radiohead covers were not enough to win back all of the points I deducted.
  • More scientific research going on at work. Unfortunately the higher ups were not listening to my warning when I briefed them the other day. It was like I watching a b-movie. You tell the blond chick not to go in the basement because there is an axe murder down there but she goes anyway and gets hacked to bits. Stay tuned to see if she gets resurected for the sequel.
  • I violated a long standing rule and watched Office Space this weekend. You'd think that my friends would encourage the behavior of Peter Gibbons. Not showing up at work anymore is way better than the alternative (throwing staplers at co-workers).
Projects!
  • Sewing: Too many sewing projects and not enough free time.
  • Websites: The migration is complete I just need to tie up some loose ends.
  • Spinsta: 6 breeder bags in process. I really need to finish them and put them up for sale.
